SLL has expanded the international reach of its Korean drama portfolio with a new licensing agreement with TelevisaUnivision, bringing the Spanish-dubbed version of My ID is Gangnam Beauty to Mexican audiences. Under the agreement, the series will premiere on Canal 5 in August 2026, marking another step in SLL’s strategy to strengthen its presence across Latin America, where demand for Korean content continues to grow.
Based on the hit webtoon of the same name, My ID is Gangnam Beauty follows Kang Mi-rae, a young woman who undergoes plastic surgery after years of bullying over her appearance. As she begins university, she faces new relationships, societal expectations, and a personal journey toward self-acceptance.
By securing a slot on one of Mexico’s leading free-to-air television networks, SLL aims to broaden the series’ reach while further showcasing the global appeal of its premium scripted catalogue.
The agreement also reinforces SLL’s long-term strategy of partnering with major regional broadcasters and delivering high-quality localized versions of its content. Through collaborations such as this, the company continues to expand the international footprint of its drama library and connect with audiences across diverse markets.
