Alliance, the reality format created by John de Mol’s Talpa Studios, has reached the top spot on Prime Video India’s trending rankings just two weeks after its international debut, marking a major milestone for the platform’s first daily unscripted entertainment series. The first international adaptation of the format premiered on June 26 and has quickly gained traction among Indian audiences.
Produced by Banijay Asia, the Hindi-language version brings together 16 celebrity contestants in a high-stakes competition built around strategy, trust and betrayal.
Streaming daily at noon across India and available in more than 240 countries worldwide, Alliance strengthens the global potential of a format that has already proven successful in its original Dutch version, De Bondgenoten, which has become one of the fastest-growing daily reality shows in the Netherlands.
Deepak Dhar, Founder & Group CEO at Banijay Asia: "At Banijay Asia, we've never believed innovation comes from making something louder. It comes from doing something different. Alliance challenged a lot of conventions around unscripted entertainment by combining strategy, scale and unpredictability in a fresh way. The real strength of Alliance lies in its exceptionally layered format design. Its structure, where challenges, strategy, relationships and difficult decisions continuously influence one another, creates a constantly evolving game that keeps both players and viewers engaged over the long run. We had great confidence in the format, and having a collaborative and forward-thinking partner in Talpa was instrumental in bringing that vision to life. Seeing audiences make it the #1 title in India on Prime Video is incredibly rewarding."
The success in India follows the continued performance of the original Dutch version, De Bondgenoten, now in its third year and ranking as the strongest long-running reality series on SBS6, consistently delivering strong ratings and audience engagement.
