Natasha Lyonne to Receive Maximo Excellence Award at Italian Global Series
Five-time Emmy nominee Natasha Lyonne will be honored with the Maximo Excellence Award at the second edition of Italian Global Series, taking place from July 3–11 in Rimini and Riccione. Best known for her performances in Orange Is The New Black, Russian Doll and Poker Face, Lyonne will take part in an exclusive Conversation on July 10 at Palariccione's Sala Polissena. The event will be open to the public and students, followed by a screening of the season two premiere of Poker Face, ahead of its Italian debut on Sky and NOW later this month.

The actress will receive the Maximo Excellence Award during the festival's closing ceremony on July 11 at Teatro Galli in Rimini. Joining her at the event will be her Orange Is The New Black and Poker Face co-star Dascha Polanco.
Directed by Marco Spagnoli, Italian Global Series is organized by the Italian Audiovisual Producers Association (APA), with the support of the Italian Ministry of Culture and in collaboration with Cinecittà, the Emilia-Romagna Region, APT Servizi Emilia-Romagna, the municipalities of Riccione and Rimini, and AGIS, with contributions from SIAE, Enel and FS Group.

Lyonne has built a career both in front of and behind the camera, earning acclaim for roles in films including American Pie, But I'm a Cheerleader and Scary Movie 2 before her breakout television success in Orange Is The New Black, which earned her an Emmy nomination. She later co-created, wrote and starred in the Netflix series Russian Doll, which went on to win three Emmy Awards. More recently, she received widespread critical recognition for Poker Face, created by Rian Johnson, with her performance as Charlie Cale earning two Golden Globe nominations and an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress.
Beyond acting, Lyonne develops film and television projects through her production company Animal Pictures. She also recently narrated the audiobook SPACE: 1972, written by Bill Oakley, and is co-founder of the ethical AI production and animation studio Asteria.
