Something Special Expands Format Slate With Three New Korean Acquisitions
Seoul distributor Something Special, led by CEO, Founder and Executive Producer JinWoo Hwang and Co-CEO and Chief Business Officer InSoon Kim, has acquired the global distribution rights to the three unscripted titles, The Scout, Granny Goes Global; and From Unknown to Legend, spanning singing competition, talent and family reality genres.

The Scout is a singing competition designed to develop emerging vocalists through mentorship rather than eliminations. Each season features superstar Masters, specialized Directors and selected Muses, who take part in training, branded missions and performance challenges aimed at helping every contestant reach their full potential. The format originally aired on ENA in South Korea and is produced by LSC Entertainment.
From Unknown to Legend is a talent competition featuring comedians, actors, dancers and performers with compelling personal stories. Combining live performances, expert mentorship and audience participation, the format follows contestants as they pursue career-defining opportunities. The show is produced by MBN, which also serves as the original broadcaster.
Granny Goes Global is a family travel reality format that follows grandparents travelling abroad to reunite with their grandchildren and other family members. Produced by JWonder for EBS in South Korea, the series combines emotional reunions with travel experiences that explore family bonds across generations.
