Canadian independent producer Go Button Media has gone into production on Secrets of Cold War Ruins, a new six-hour history series greenlit by Autentic and Canadian broadcaster Super Channel.
The series marks the fourth title from the previously announced 36-hour slate deal between the three partners, following Secrets of Ancient Structures, The Animal Within S2 and Milestones of the Solar System.

Secrets of Cold War Ruins explores the hidden legacy of the Cold War through abandoned bunkers, military installations, espionage sites and nuclear defence structures around the world. Combining history, present-day investigation, expert narration, archive materials and recreations, each episode uncovers the stories behind three remarkable Cold War locations.

Featured sites include the underground Stasi bunkers near Leipzig, a secret airplane boneyard in the United States, a 90-room underground Communist hideout in Latvia, and Kelvedon Hatch, the British farmhouse concealing a vast nuclear bunker built to shelter the Prime Minister and VIPs.
