Content creators, journalists and families gathered at the iconic Círculo de Bellas Artes in Madrid to celebrate the Spanish launch of The Sign (El cartel), the special extended episode of the globally successful animated children’s series Bluey.
The event marked the free-to-air debut of the episode on Clan, RTVE’s children’s channel, bringing together fans and special guests for what became a milestone moment for the franchise in Spain. During the afternoon, the beloved characters Bluey and Bingo appeared at the venue, entertaining families and creating a festive atmosphere around one of the most talked-about episodes in the history of the series.
Among the attendees were actress María Castro and influencers Irene Sánchez, Aranzazu Santos López, Gloria G de la Torre, Nuria Garrido and Sol López, alongside media representatives and content creators.
Produced by Ludo Studio, Bluey had already established itself as one of the most successful family brands worldwide, winning multiple international awards including BAFTAs and Emmys. The Sign became the longest episode ever produced for the series, running for 28 minutes, and received strong audience and critical acclaim after breaking viewing records on Disney+. International outlets such as The Guardian, BBC Culture and Mail on Sunday praised the episode for its emotional storytelling and cinematic scope.
The story followed Bluey as she struggled with the possible sale of the Heeler family home, while themes of change, uncertainty and family bonds unfolded alongside preparations for Frisky’s wedding. The episode combined emotional depth with the humor and warmth that made the series a global phenomenon among children and parents alike.
The special aired on Clan on May 23, with a repeat broadcast scheduled for the following morning, and also became available on RTVE Play. The launch followed the arrival of Bluey’s third season on Clan earlier in May, including the episodes Ghost Basket and Surprise!, which together with The Sign formed a trilogy of special episodes.
