TCCF Pitching Opens Globally as Taiwan Event Sharpens International Focus
The Taiwan Creative Content Fest (TCCF) is gearing up for its 2026 edition, with its flagship PITCHING program now open to submissions from around the world ahead of the event, set to run November 6–9 at the Nangang Exhibition Center. The initiative continues to position itself as a key gateway between Asian creators and the global market, backed by a growing track record of success. Among its standout stories is Nagi Notes, originally presented at TCCF’s 2023 feature film pitching session and now selected for the main competition at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival.
“The Cannes selection of Nagi Notes is proof of what TCCF’s matchmaking can deliver, and it is no coincidence,” said Wang Shih-szu, chairperson of TAICCA. “TCCF PITCHING has evolved beyond a content showcase. It is now a key barometer for the global industry to gauge Asia’s commercial momentum and creative strength, and the go-to platform for creators looking to break into international markets."

For 2026, TCCF is taking a more strategic approach: equipping Taiwanese creators with the professional tools to compete on the world stage amid shifting geopolitical dynamics, reducing dependence on any single market. The PITCHING program is structured across two main strands. The Project Track will gather film and TV projects across four categories — feature film, series, animation and documentary — each now supported by its own dedicated award, co-presented with industry partners. This marks a shift from the previous single-prize model and reflects increased interest from sponsors. France’s CNC returns as a partner for the fourth consecutive year, this time focusing specifically on feature film projects.
A new Feature Film Thematic Session, From IP to Cinema, will spotlight adaptations from existing intellectual property across formats such as novels, comics, games and theatre, responding to the growing volume of IP-based submissions.
Meanwhile, the Story Track will continue to highlight published works with adaptation potential. Up to 26 Taiwanese projects from publishing and comics will be selected, with 16 advancing to public pitching sessions aimed at connecting rights holders with international buyers. The 2026 edition expands capacity with four additional pitching slots, reflecting rising submission quality.
Selected teams will also benefit from professional training through TCCF’s pitching workshops, designed to meet international industry standards. Previous mentors have included John Hsu, Joanna Klein and Yohan Jang, with the upcoming edition set to continue bringing in leading global experts.

Through TCCF, TAICCA aims to further strengthen Taiwan’s content ecosystem by connecting creators with financing, partners and global distribution opportunities, while continuing to elevate Asian stories on the international stage.
