Blink49 Studios has launched Creator Studios, a new global initiative aimed at partnering with the next generation of creators to identify, develop, and scale talent-led intellectual property across platforms, formats, and territories. Oscar-winning, Emmy-nominated producer, entrepreneur and media executive Mickey Meyer has been appointed President of Global Creator Studios. Based in Los Angeles, Meyer will report to Tara Long, President of Global Unscripted Television, who also oversees an expanding portfolio of cross-platform initiatives across the company.
Creator Studios will focus on working with creators who have built strong, direct relationships with audiences, with an emphasis on developing scalable IP across scripted, unscripted, and digital-first formats. Leveraging Blink49’s existing production infrastructure, the division will provide end-to-end support across development, financing, production, and global distribution partnerships, enabling creators to take ideas from inception through to fully realized content. The studio will collaborate closely with Blink49’s scripted, unscripted, and brand teams, operating under an integrated model designed to support IP development at scale and maximize long-term franchise potential in global markets.
“Mickey brings a deep understanding of both digital-native talent and premium content creation,” said Long. “We are doubling down on the creator space as a key area of growth for Blink49 and see a clear opportunity to build a studio that supports creators in expanding their ideas into enduring IP. Mickey’s experience across production, partnerships, and the creator ecosystem gives him a strong foundation to lead this effort globally.”
“The most compelling creative voices of this era aren't waiting to be discovered; they've already built the audiences. What's been missing is the institutional infrastructure to match that ambition: the development, the craft, the financing, and the production muscle to turn a moment into something that endures,” said Meyer. “That's the gap Blink49 Creator Studios is built to close. I've spent my career at this intersection, and I don't think there's a more important place to be building right now.”
Recently, Meyer co-founded The Unreasonable alongside Travon Free and Martin Desmond Roe, an independent film and television production company focused on creator-led storytelling, where he produced the Academy Award-winning “Two Distant Strangers.” He also co-founded Altitude, an investment fund focused on creator-driven IP.
