Banijay Entertainment has confirmed the return of "Big Boss Bangla", marking the revival of the iconic reality format in Bengali after a decade hiatus. The series will be produced by EndemolShine India for JioStar’s Star Jalsha, with celebrated cricket legend, Sourav Ganguly, confirmed as host.

The announcement was made by Ganguly at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata, expanding the franchise's footprint in India to seven languages. The new Bangla edition joins the successful Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Malayalam, and Hindi iterations. Since its debut in 1999, the "Big Brother" format remains one of the most influential reality brands globally, with over 600 seasons and 70 adaptations to date.
