The 4th night of the 2026 Sanremo Festival, traditionally dedicated to duets and cover performances, confirmed its status as one of the most anticipated moments of the event, delivering outstanding ratings and overwhelming audience engagement on Rai1.

Broadcast on Friday, February 27, the evening was preceded by Sanremo Start (8:42–9:38 pm), which attracted 12.3 million viewers and a 51.6% share. The main show then drew an average of 10.5 million viewers, reaching an impressive 65.2% share between 9:43 pm and 1:41 am.

Breaking down the figures, the first part of the show (9:43–11:37 pm) gathered 13.7 million viewers with a 64.1% share, while the late-night segment (11:42 pm–1:41 am) retained a strong 7.3 million viewers, increasing its share to 67.5%—a clear sign of the audience’s loyalty to the duets and reinterpretations that define the Cover Night format.

The evening’s standout performers were Ditonellapiaga and Tony Pitone, who won the Cover Night with their reinterpretation, emerging as the audience’s favorite in one of the Festival’s most competitive and creatively diverse line-ups.

Against this dominant performance, competing networks remained far behind. On Canale 5, the drama Io Sono Farah reached 1.47 million viewers (8% share), while Rai2’s The Americas attracted 366,000 viewers (1.6%). Italia1 aired Transformers – Il risveglio with 485,000 viewers (2.2%), Rai3’s Vita di un uomo – Giuseppe Ungaretti recorded 177,000 viewers (0.8%), and Rete4’s Quarto Grado averaged 638,000 viewers (3.8%) after its presentation segment.
