Inter Medya Micro Drama Boardroom to Bedroom Launched on Instagram
Inter Medya, which recently announced its strategic entry into micro-drama production and distribution, is steadily expanding its footprint in this fast-growing segment. In September, the company completed production of its first micro drama, Boardroom to Bedroom (İki CEO Bir Araya Gelmemeliydik), which premiered successfully at MIPCOM. Following the launch, the title was rolled out across digital platforms with strong early results: sales have already been closed with several global platforms, while negotiations are ongoing with additional partners. As of February 16, the series has been released via the @kami.shorts Instagram accounts, with new episodes published every weekday at 6:00 PM. Anticipation among next-generation audiences was high even before the debut: promotional trailers surpassed 2 million views in record time, and the first episode reached 1.4 million views within just 12 hours. These figures mark a strong and ambitious entry for Inter Medya into the micro-drama space.
Alongside its original productions, the company has also begun acquiring third-party titles for international distribution. Two successful series produced by İki Dakika Creative House — New Generation Family (Yeni Nesil Aile) and Local Kid (Semt Çocuğu) — have been added to the expanding catalog.
As part of its broader short-form strategy, Inter Medya has also secured sales rights in selected territories for 16 micro dramas from the platform GAIN. This agreement further strengthens the company’s Turkish Micro Drama Catalog and reinforces its position as a key international representative of Turkish content.
To support this expansion, Inter Medya has established a dedicated in-house team focused exclusively on the production and acquisition of micro dramas, signaling a significant acceleration of its activities in this field.
Company representatives, who have already participated as speakers in numerous industry panels focused on the format, have outlined an ambitious strategic vision. Inter Medya aims to continuously enhance its micro-drama offering by closely monitoring global trends and expanding both its client network and international reach. As one of the early movers in the genre in Turkey, the company is positioning itself not only through production and distribution, but also through active engagement in industry events as a market trendsetter.
In the coming weeks, Inter Medya will take part in MIP London and Series Mania, contributing to the growing international visibility of Turkey within the emerging micro-drama sector.
