France tv distribution has boarded international distribution for “Sorority” (working title), expanding its scripted slate with the 19th-century drama thriller produced by Lincoln TV. The six-part series (6x52’) — originally titled “Nourrices” — will be presented to buyers at the London TV Screenings, taking place February 22–27, 2026.
Set in Paris in 1889, “Sorority” follows Rose, a young woman who leaves her rural home in the hope of securing a better future for her baby by working as a wet nurse for a bourgeois family. She soon learns from midwife Odette that she will not be allowed to keep her own child with her. A desperate and dangerous solution emerges: secretly exchanging her baby with that of Hélène de Gersande, a grieving mother who has just lost her infant.
As their lives intertwine, Rose, Odette and Hélène — three women from vastly different social backgrounds — must join forces to carve out a place for themselves in a male-dominated society and fight for their independence.
