MIP London has announced the Documentary and Factual line-up for its second edition, set to take place from Sunday 22 to Tuesday 24 February 2026 at the IET London and the Savoy Hotel.
Scheduled across the market’s opening two days, the programme will include a showcase presentation of the environmental feature "Greenwashed", an expanded co-production summit with key international factual players, in-depth discussions on emerging funding models, and a stronger emphasis on exclusive data, analysis and market intelligence during the opening Sunday.
Among the highlights, award-winning broadcaster, conservationist and campaigner Chris Packham will be joined by physician and filmmaker Dr. Sofia Pineda Ochoa for a special showcase screening and Q&A of their documentary "Greenwashed". Taking place on Monday 23 February at 12.00 in the IET London’s Turing Theatre, the film examines urgent ecological challenges by confronting uncomfortable truths that many environmental organisations have yet to fully address.
The Documentary and Factual Co-Production Summit will return in an expanded format on Sunday 22 February, continuing the roundtable structure introduced at last year’s event. Hosted at The Savoy’s Lancaster Ballroom from 11.30 to 13.00, the summit will feature confirmed table hosts including Mikael Osterby, Head of Factual at SVT; Gerrit Kemming, Founder & CEO of Quintus Studios; Benjamin Field, CEO and Co-Founder of Deep Fusion Films Ltd; Becky Gardner, Head of Originals at LADbible Group; Tanya Shaw, Managing Director of Television at Zinc Media; and Kristina Hollstein, Director of Acquisitions and Co-Productions, Documentaries at ZDF Studios.
Exclusive, data-led sessions will also headline the opening Sunday, with Guy Bisson, Executive Director and Co-founder of Ampere Analysis, presenting "Documentary & Factual Entertainment: Thriving and Surviving Confirmed", an analysis of ongoing opportunities and growth areas within the genre. This will be followed by a session from Beatrice Rossmanith, Founder and Director of Mothership Media Consultancy, who will outline the key editorial trends shaping today’s documentary market. Both presentations will take place back-to-back on Sunday 22 February from 10.30 to 11.00 in the IET London’s Kelvin Theatre.
The programme will also include a focused discussion on emerging funding models for factual content in the evolving content economy. The session, featuring documentary filmmaker Benjamin Zand of Zandland among others, will be chaired by Amanda Groom, Founder & CEO of The Bridge, and will take place on Monday 23 February from 14.00 to 14.30 in the IET London’s Turing Theatre.
