Netflix accelerates into Italy’s racing heartland with Motorvalley, a new six-episode drama series premiering exclusively on February 10. Produced by Matteo Rovere for Groenlandia, part of the Banijay Group, the series promises a gripping blend of speed, emotion, and personal redemption, as hinted in its newly released poster and adrenaline-charged teaser trailer.
At the center of Motorvalley are three characters united by loss but fuelled by the same irrepressible passion: cars, competition, and the rush of adrenaline. Arturo (Luca Argentero), once a legendary driver, has stepped away from the track after a devastating accident. Elena (Giulia Michelini), scion of the powerful Dionisi racing dynasty, is fighting to reclaim her place in a family business now controlled by her brother. And then there is Blu (Caterina Forza), a young, impulsive talent whose dangerous relationship with speed makes her both a liability and a prodigy.
In a bid to rebuild her standing, Elena recruits Arturo and Blu, forging an unlikely trio bound together by ambition and desperation. Each carries a personal reason to push harder and drive faster than the rest. Their journey unfolds within the electrifying world of the Italian Gran Turismo Championship (GT), where racing is not merely a sport but a calling—one that can define a life or abruptly end it.
Created by Francesca Manieri, Gianluca Bernardini, and Matteo Rovere, Motorvalley draws on a strong creative backbone. Rovere, Pippo Mezzapesa, and Lyda Patitucci share directing duties, while the writing team includes Manieri, Rovere, Bernardini, Michela Straniero, and Erika Z. Galli. The result is a series that aims to merge the visceral energy of motorsport with the emotional depth of character-driven drama.
