Blue Ant Media announced at the World Congress of Science & Factual Producers the greenlight of two returning fan-favorite productions: "Wildlife ER" Season 4 and "Boss Shark: Whale Hunter" (w/t). The projects reinforce the company’s focus on delivering contemporary and engaging natural history content, highlighting its long-standing expertise in the factual genre.
Both titles will debut on Blue Ant Media’s wildlife and nature brand, Love Nature, which reaches audiences worldwide across its linear and streaming platforms. Blue Ant Rights will manage pre-sales and licensing opportunities outside the commissioning regions, continuing to expand the company’s international footprint.
“The World Congress of Science & Factual Producers, a forum that fosters excellence in factual storytelling, is the ideal place to debut these greenlights,” says Alison Barrat, SVP, Head of Content, Global Channels & Streaming. “These new series show Blue Ant’s commitment to delivering a broad range of natural history, which reflects our global commissioning strategy of investing in premium factual content that resonates with audiences around the world.”
"Wildlife ER" Season 4 (6 x 60’, produced by WildBear Entertainment) once again takes viewers inside Australia’s Currumbin Wildlife Hospital, spotlighting the dedicated professionals caring for injured and sick animals. From koalas undergoing a pioneering chlamydia vaccine program to marine birds and reptiles fighting for rehabilitation, the series highlights the emotional victories and challenges behind wildlife conservation.
The special "Boss Shark: Whale Hunter" (w/t) (1 x 60’, also produced by WildBear Entertainment) follows Dr. Riley Elliott as he investigates a potential third—and previously undocumented—life stage of great white sharks. Building on established science, the film explores Riley’s theory that the largest, most powerful great whites may evolve beyond hunting seals to ultimately pursue whales, revealing a dramatic new chapter in shark behavior.
