At the 46th edition of the American Film Market (AFM), producer Gary Lucchesi officially announced The Perfect Wife, a new Italian–American co-production developed together with Verdiana Bixio, Owner and CEO of Publispei, and Lori McCreary, producer and CEO of Revelations Entertainment.

The announcement was made during AFM’s official panel “Focus on Italy – A Strategic Hub for International Productions”, where Lucchesi — former President of the Producers Guild of America and currently Chair of the PGA International Committee — emphasized Italy’s growing role as a key partner for global film and TV production.

Adapted from one of the most acclaimed contemporary Italian thrillers written by Roberto Costantini and published by Marsilio Editori, the feature film is penned by Renato Sannio and Alessandro Aronadio.
The story takes place in Rome, where the murder of a well-connected man is staged to look like an erotic game gone tragically wrong. The case brings together a tormented, rebellious police commissioner and a young, ambitious, incorruptible magistrate, dragging them into a labyrinth of deception, privilege, and forbidden desires — where every “perfect” marriage hides a perfect lie.
