BBC Studios Nordic Production has unveiled three key leadership appointments across Denmark and Norway, further underscoring its dedication to developing local expertise and driving ambitious expansion throughout the region.

In Denmark, Jens Villebro, currently serving as Chief Operating Officer, has been promoted to Managing Director for Denmark, effective 1 December 2025. Villebro brings extensive insight and a deep familiarity with the Danish landscape to his new position. He will maintain his responsibilities as Nordic COO alongside Chief Financial Officer, Kent Pedersen. He takes over from Daniel Svarts, who has played a pivotal role in establishing and advancing the company’s Danish operations.

To continue supporting the company’s growth strategy in Denmark, BBC Studios Nordic Production is in the process of hiring a Programme Director who will collaborate closely with Jens and the broader team.

In Norway, Mirja Minjares has been named Managing Director, also effective 1 December 2025. Mirja, who currently acts as Head of Entertainment for Norway, has been a driving force in shaping the company’s creative slate since joining earlier this year and will now guide the Norwegian production arm into its next stage of development.

Additionally, joining the Norwegian division on 1 January is Hans Lukas Hansen, who will step into the role of Head of Development. Hans Lukas brings significant high-level experience in reality and entertainment formats, including NRK’s new reality title "Code Red – The Lighthouse", as well as major franchises such as local adaptations of "X Factor," "Idol," and "Got Talent."
