The classic Italian talent show La Corrida returns with a second edition on Nove, airing for the next eight from Wednesday, November 5 in prime time at 9:30 p.m. The program, produced by Banijay Italia and Corima, is once again hosted by Amadeus, bringing back the same blend of humor, spontaneity, and public participation that has made the format a staple of Italian television.
As always, La Corrida puts ordinary people center stage — contestants of all ages and backgrounds showcase their unique (and sometimes eccentric) talents in front of a live audience. The audience plays the key role: they judge each performance in real time. When they enjoy an act, they applaud enthusiastically; when they don’t, they can boo, whistle, or make noise using spoons, pots, and other household objects — but only after the green light signals permission to do so.
At the end of each episode, the most applauded contestant wins the evening’s “moral victory” and earns the chance to compete in the grand finale.
A recurring feature of the show is the VIP guest judge, who has the power to bring back one contestant, granting them direct access to the final. In the season premiere, the role of “capopopolo” will be held by Tina Cipollari, a familiar face in Italian entertainment known for her outspoken personality.
Adding to the live energy of the show, a 30-piece orchestra led by Maestro Leonardo De Amicis will accompany the performers throughout the evening.
