Under the glittering lights of the French Riviera, Rainbow Group marked a momentous milestone: the 30th anniversary of the Winx Club franchise. The celebration took place with an elegant gala dinner in Cannes, where founder and CEO Iginio Straffi, accompanied by his wife Joanna Straffi, welcomed distinguished guests, partners, and friends of the studio to honor three decades of creativity, empowerment, and global success.
The evening was a perfect blend of nostalgia and innovation, paying tribute to the franchise that has captivated millions of fans around the world since Bloom and her fairy friends first took flight in 2004. Guests enjoyed an immersive experience inspired by the magical world of Winx Club, complete with enchanting décor, themed performances, and a preview of the brand’s latest triumph — the new CGI revival series, Winx Club: The Magic is Back.
The reboot, which reimagines the classic adventures of the Winx fairies through state-of-the-art animation, has become a phenomenal global success. The first 13 episodes — part of a new 26-episode season — have already launched to rave reviews and impressive ratings, airing on CBBC and iPlayer in the UK, TF1 in France, and RAI in Italy. On Netflix, the series has soared to the top of the charts, reaching the #1 Kids’ category position in over 40 countries, reaffirming the timeless appeal of the franchise.
In his heartfelt speech, Iginio Straffi reflected on the remarkable journey of Winx Club, from its Italian origins to becoming a worldwide phenomenon:“The Winx are not just fairies — they are symbols of courage, friendship, and imagination. Seeing new generations embrace their magic is the greatest reward after 30 years of storytelling.”
The celebration also highlighted Rainbow’s dynamic global marketing and PR campaign, which has amplified the reach of The Magic is Back through multi-platform activations. A vibrant mix of advertising, partnerships, and digital initiatives — including social media challenges, influencer collaborations, and watch-along events — has reignited fan enthusiasm across all age groups.
On TikTok, the official Winx Club profile has surpassed 1 million followers, while the viral Winx dance challenge has accumulated over 60 million views, thanks to an ever-growing community of passionate fans sharing their own magical transformations.
Expanding the Winx universe beyond the screen, Rainbow also launched the exclusive Hub Game “Winx Club: Magix” on Roblox, coinciding with the new episodes. Designed for a multigenerational audience, the immersive experience allows players to explore the world of Magix and unlock their inner fairy powers. Since its debut in September, the game has enchanted over 2 million players, earning an 87% approval rating and showcasing the franchise’s unmatched cross-platform engagement.
