ABC, Screen
Australia, and VicScreen have begun filming in Melbourne the six-part comedy
series Dog Park, featuring Leon Ford (The Last Anniversary) and Celia Pacquola
(Rosehaven). The show is set to premiere on ABC TV and ABC iview in 2026.
Produced by
Matchbox Pictures, part of Universal International Studios, Dog Park was
co-created by Leon Ford and Amanda Higgs (Bad Behaviour). The series is
directed by Matthew Saville (Please Like Me) and Nina Buxton (Heartbreak High),
with scripts penned by Leon Ford, Penelope Chai (Troppo), Nick Coyle (Bump),
and Chloe Wong (Turn Up The Volume).
Roland
(Leon Ford), grappling with a mid-life crisis, encounters the ever-optimistic
Samantha (Celia Pacquola) and her quirky, life-loving circle of dog-park
regulars. As Roland reluctantly returns to the park, he slowly discovers his
need for a community. Dog Park is a heartwarming tale of love, loyalty, and
playful canine antics – celebrating kindness just for the joy of it.
