Filming Italy Venice Award Celebrates Women, Cinema, and TV Excellence at the 82nd Venice Film Festival
The Filming Italy Venice Award returned to the iconic Sala degli Stucchi at the Hotel Excelsior, a landmark steeped in Italian cinema history, as part of the 82nd Venice International Film Festival. Hosted by General and Artistic Director Tiziana Rocca, the ceremony honoured an exceptional line-up of talent from the worlds of film, television, and theatre, with a special focus on female artistry.

Rocca expressed her pride in the event’s continued growth: “This year’s edition once again brought an extraordinary group of actors, directors, producers and creators to Venice. We dedicated many awards to women, in recognition of those who fight daily to make their voices heard. The support of the Biennale and Alberto Barbera has been essential in keeping this celebration alive.”

Honorary President Franco Nero, an icon of Italian and international cinema, is set to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in February 2026 during the 11th Filming Italy Los Angeles. This year’s ambassador was Da’Vine Joy Randolph – Oscar, Golden Globe, BAFTA, and SAG Award winner for The Holdovers – while Italian actress Matilde Gioli served as patroness.
