TEDxCortina 2025 Brings “FLOW” of Ideas and Inspiration to the Dolomites

TEDxCortina 2025 Brings “FLOW” of Ideas and Inspiration to the Dolomites
The ninth edition of TEDxCortina sold out once again on August 24 at the Alexander Girardi Hall, part of the official programme of the Cultural Olympics Milano Cortina 2026. This year’s theme, “FLOW – Synergies in Progress”, transformed the high-altitude venue into a hub for creative exchange, connecting disciplines, perspectives, and languages.

Hosted by Giada Bortoluzzi and public speaking trainer Giovanni Di Giacomo, the event featured 11 speakers whose talks moved between humanistic reflection and scientific-technical innovation. Highlights included: Martina Caironi, Paralympic champion and Milano Cortina 2026 ambassador, spoke about sport as a field of resilience and inclusion. Nicolò Andreula, economist and consultant, offered an insightful take on failure and the stories we tell about it. Riccardo Bassetto, Head of Operations at Chora Media and Will Media, explored the evolution of news and emerging digital languages. Beniamino Parenzo, professor and lawyer, reflected on the role of law in a rapidly changing world. Paolo Barletta, entrepreneur in the hospitality sector, shared how innovation can intertwine with tradition.

On the scientific and technological front, the speakers were:Andrea Ceccolini, founder of a startup dedicated to Arctic regeneration, shed light on environmental challenges and how technology could change the planet’s fate. Donatella Taurasi, AI and data science expert, showed how artificial intelligence is redrawing possibilities and future scenarios. Elisa Cimetta, professor and researcher, shared how science can transform the world. Giada Peron, astrophysicist, took the audience beyond Earth’s atmosphere to explore the challenges and discoveries of studying the universe. Salvatore Maria Aglioti, professor of psychology and neuroscience, closed the journey with a look into the metaverse and how psychology and neuroscience are rewriting the rules of virtual reality.

Guest speaker Francesca Michielin added an artistic and emotional note to the day, while the opening performance by opera singer Daniele Tomiazzo, delivering Grande Amore by Il Volo accompanied by images from the past nine editions of TEDxCortina, set an inspiring tone for the event.

Beyond the talks, TEDxCortina 2025 offered an immersive programme focused on the local territory, inclusion, and sustainability—with sports activities, a Kids Area, creative workshops, a pet-friendly space by Il Cane Istruito, and a literary corner by Libreria Sovilla.

Once again, TEDxCortina proved to be more than an event: a meeting point where inspiration turns into action, and ideas take shape high in the Dolomites.
