Passion Distribution has announced a major upswing in international sales for its adrenaline-fueled Blue Light and Search and Rescue factual slate, affirming its position as a global leader in high-impact, real-life unscripted content.
Spanning an impressive 330 hours, the latest sales reflect the continued demand for returnable, high-volume series that spotlight ordinary heroes operating in extraordinary circumstances. With gripping storylines, real-world stakes, and emotional resonance, the programming block has struck a chord with broadcasters and audiences alike.
Flagship title All New Traffic Cops, produced by Mentorn Media, has seen strong take-up across Europe. MTV OY in Finland and TV4 in Sweden have licensed six seasons of the long-running series, which chronicles the tense, fast-paced work of traffic enforcement officers. UK broadcaster Channel 5, the show’s original commissioner, has also relicensed episodes—an indication of the brand's ongoing popularity at home.
Further afield, Warner Bros. Discovery in the Netherlands, BBC Studios, and Foxtel in Australia have all added new seasons to their schedules, reinforcing the show’s international appeal and adaptability across broadcast windows.
Also making an impact is Call The Bailiffs, produced by Middlechild Productions. The hard-hitting social reality series, which follows enforcement agents in the high-stress world of debt recovery, has been picked up for multiple seasons by RTL in the Netherlands, Discovery in Germany, DPG Media in Belgium, and BBC Studios Australia.
Search and Rescue programming also continues to perform strongly. Coastguard: Search & Rescue SOS, another Middlechild production, has landed sales in Korea (Creo Contents), Australia (Foxtel), New Zealand (Sky), and the Benelux region (Warner Bros. Discovery), underlining the global appetite for emotionally driven real-life drama set against nature’s most formidable backdrops.
Completing the slate is Yorkshire Air 999, a recent acquisition from Air TV. The series, which offers unprecedented access to air ambulance operations across the UK, has been acquired by NPO in the Netherlands, continuing Passion’s track record of delivering compelling front-line storytelling to international partners.
Nick Tanner, Director of Sales at Passion Distribution, welcomed the surge in demand:“We’re thrilled to see such a strong response to our Blue Light and Search and Rescue content. These stories not only deliver excitement and drama but also highlight the humanity and bravery of everyday people on the front lines. They’re proven performers across territories, and we’re proud to continue supplying this compelling content to partners around the world.”
