MIA 2024 Celebrates 10 Years of Global Audiovisual Innovation and Collaboration in Rome
MIA | Mercato Internazionale Audiovisivo, promoted by ANICA (chaired by Francesco Rutelli) and APA (chaired by Chiara Sbarigia) and directed by Gaia Tridente, returns to Rome from October 14-18, 2024, for its tenth edition at Palazzo Barberini and Cinema Barberini.

In its 10 years, MIA has helped produce over 100 audiovisual works through its Co-Production Market, fostering opportunities for co-producers and international partnerships. This year, the market received over 600 project submissions, a 20% increase from 2023, with entries from 90 countries. About 60 projects, including animation, documentaries, drama, and films, will be showcased.

The Innovation for Creative Industries program returns with talks and immersive installations in the MIA XR pavilion, highlighting the latest audiovisual technologies.

MIA continues to act as a global incubator for business and international collaboration, strengthening Italy's position in the global audiovisual market. It promotes new talent, co-productions, and the entire audiovisual lifecycle, while its editorial divisions (Animation, Doc&Factual, Drama, and Film) focus on supporting artistic works across all genres and stages, ensuring cultural diversity and cooperation.
