Rai 1 will broadcast the mini-series Mameli - Il Ragazzo che Sognò l'Italia (tr. Mameli - The Boy who dreams of Italy) on Monday, February 12 and Tuesday 13 in prime time. The biopic tells the story of Goffredo Mameli, poet and hero of the Risorgimento, author of the song that became the National hymn of the Italian Republic. The first and most famous singer star in history, who with his words told an entire generation and influenced its choices to defend his land.
The series is produced by Pepito Produzioni and Rai Fiction.
The cast includes Riccardo De Rinaldis Santorelli, Amedeo Gullà, Neri Marcorè, Isabella Briganti, Barbara Venturato, Lucia Mascino, Luca Ward,Chiara Celotto, Gianluca Zaccaria, Giovanni Crozza Signoris, Ricky Memphis, Sebastiano Somma, Maurizio Lastrico.
The two series (100') is directed by Luca Lucini and Ago Panini.
