Stefano Torrisi has been appointed new general director of WBITVP Spain and Portugal and he will replace Sebastian Moguilevsky, who announced his departure from the company in November and will leave his position at the end of the year.
Torrisi comes to the position after a career that includes management positions at Europroducciones TV, Endemol, Banijay and Garbo Produzioni in both Spain and Italy.
“We are pleased to announce Stefano’s appointment. He brings extensive experience to our company and I have no doubt that we will continue to grow stronger under his leadership. I also want to thank Sebastián for his great contribution in building our business in Spain,” said Ronald Goes, exec VP of production WBITVP.
Moguilevsky’s departure comes after seven years at the helm of WBITVP, where he has collaborated with the main channels and platforms in Spain and Portugal, such as Atresmedia, Mediaset, RTP, SIC, TVI, Movistar Plus+, HBO Max, Prime Video and Netflix among others.
During these years, WBITVP led the Spanish versions of international formats such as I Can See Your Voice, Kitchen Nightmare and Who Wants to Marry my Son? Among others.
Since January, the production company has also had a fiction department led by Alberto Carullo.
