Beta has just sold Spanish 6x60’ thriller drama series La Unidad - Kabul to Max for the U.S. market.
Based on true events, the limited series is an upsetting and nail-biting reflection on the Western retreat from Afghanistan. The six-hour series, coming from Movistar Plus+ and Buendia Estudios, is the third installment of the hit franchise La Unidad, whose episodes are all available to stream on Max in the U.S. La Unidad, with 18x60’ episodes overall and produced by Movistar Plus+, Buendia Estudios, and Beta Film, is created by Dani de la Torre, along with an award-winning team.
La Unidad – Kabul reunites the main cast from the previous installments, with multi-awarded Nathalie Poza (Cathedral of the Sea) playing Carla, multi-awarded Marian Álvarez (Velvet Collection) back as Miriam, and renowned Argentinian actor Michel Noher (100 días para enamorarse) reprising his role of Marcos. The three investigators have to travel to Kabul on an anti-terror mission and get caught up in one of the worst political and humanitarian quagmires: the Taliban re-claiming of Kabul.
Beta handles world sales and has previously sold the action-packed franchise to 50 territories, including France, Latin America, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Australia.
