The drama series Alfredino - Una storia italiana, in 4 episodes is based on real eventes occurred in 1981, when a 6-year-old boy who fell down a well in Vermicino, Lazio, died after days of agony. The story received a huge amount of media coverage and was the catalyst that led to the creation of the Department of Civil Protection in Italy shortly afterwards.
The tragic story was covered by Rai 1 pubcaster and affected the all Italian nation, especially when belovew Italian president came to see the Rescue Team.
