Saturday night prime time saw a fierce head-to-head competition between Mediaset's Canale 5 and Rai 1. On Canale 5, talent show Tú Sí Que Vales took the prime time lead, drawing 3,477,000 viewers and a 24.6% share. Rai 1’s Ballando con le Stelle closely followed, capturing 2,479,000 viewers with a 24.3% share (after its warm-up segment, Ballando Tutti in Pista, drew 3,455,000 viewers and a 20.4% share).
Across other channels, Italia 1’s broadcast of the animated feature Ice Age 2: The Meltdown gathered 787,000 viewers (4.8%), while La7’s talk show In Altre Parole delivered a strong performance with 1,097,000 viewers (6.4% share).
