German broadcaster RTLZWEI will launch Maison Tabou, , a new reality dating format produced by UFA Show & Factual, on September 30, 2026.
The format is built around anonymous encounters in which singles meet without initially knowing key details about one another, including their names, professions, ages or personal backgrounds. Instead, the first stage of the dating process focuses on physical attraction, chemistry and personal desire.

Set inside the fictional Maison Tabou, the show follows participants as they take part in a series of blind dates designed to remove some of the conventional filters associated with dating. The experience is overseen by an unseen host known as “Madame,” who selects the pairings and follows the encounters behind the scenes.

The participants’ identities are revealed the following morning over breakfast, when they discover who they have spent time with and decide whether they want to continue the relationship outside the hotel.

According to the broadcaster, the format explores whether a connection formed without information about a person’s social background or everyday identity can develop into something more lasting.
The show will air every Wednesday at 11:35 p.m. on RTLZWEI, with episodes available seven days earlier on RTL+.
