Winsing’s Chinese animated feature Into the Mortal World is continuing its international rollout, with theatrical and streaming releases now extending across Europe, Latin America and Asia. The film has already reached more than 40 countries and territories, with further launches planned through the remainder of 2026 and into 2027.
Selected for the Feature Competition at the 2025 Annecy International Animation Film Festival, Into the Mortal World draws on Chinese mythology, combining 3D animation with a distinctive 2D ink-inspired visual style.
In Spain, the film made its commercial theatrical debut in August under the title Hijos del Cielo, following earlier festival screenings in Europe. The theatrical release was subsequently followed by a launch on Prime Video Spain.
The Latin American rollout is taking place under the localized title Los Inmortales. The film opened theatrically in Bolivia in August, with releases in Colombia, Ecuador and Central America scheduled for October. Further streaming launches across the region are planned progressively throughout 2027.
South Korea is also preparing for the film’s theatrical release in January 2027, where it will be known as 견우: 별의 아이들. Winsing presented the title at BCWW 2026, held from September 14 to 16, as part of the AIGC-Enabled Innovation in China-Korea Animation Globalization themed event. The company also held an official Korean release launch ceremony to kick off the local distribution and promotional campaign ahead of the theatrical debut.
The international rollout will continue in 2027, with Winsing exploring further distribution opportunities across North America, Africa and additional European markets. The company is also expanding the film’s theatrical, streaming, digital and inflight presence through commercial releases and platform partnerships.
Winsing will present Into the Mortal World at upcoming industry markets including MIPCOM, the American Film Market and Asia TV Forum & Market, as it continues discussions with international distributors, platforms and other partners.
