Rai 1 – "Napoli - New York" (Italian Movie)
A 2024 period drama directed by Gabriele Salvatores, based on a previously unproduced screenplay written in the late 1940s by Federico Fellini and Tullio Pinelli and rediscovered decades later. In the rubble of post-war Naples in 1949, orphaned children Carmine and Celestina survive by their wits until they stow away on a ship bound for New York, hoping to find Celestina's sister who emigrated years earlier. Landing at Ellis Island, the two must find a way to build a new life in a city far removed from the poverty they left behind. Starring Pierfrancesco Favino, Dea Lanzaro and Antonio Guerra.
