Disney+ has greenlit Mad Love (w/t), a new romantic comedy-drama from Element Pictures, a Fremantle company, and Sinestra. Created and written by playwright Kate Cortesi, the Hulu Original follows Maddy Caruso, a British wedding planner who leaves London for Italy after a personal mistake and starts a new life working with an eclectic range of clients in the Italian countryside.
Maddy is highly successful at her job, with a reputation for making the impossible possible and navigating even the most demanding clients. But while she appears to have her professional life under control, her personal life is far more complicated. After doing something unforgivable with the first man she has ever had feelings for, Maddy escapes to Italy, leaving behind her sister and best friend, Evie. However, her attempt to leave her past behind proves unsuccessful when it eventually collides with her new Italian life.
