Banijay Entertainment has announced that Endemol Shine Poland will produce the first Polish adaptation of the hit property format Love It or List It (Pokochaj lub sprzedaj) for Super Polsat. Originally created by Big Coat Media and distributed by Banijay Rights, the home renovation and real estate format became HGTV’s highest-rated program and has generated more than 60 versions across international markets.
The series follows homeowners who must decide whether to transform their current house to suit their evolving needs or move to a new home. Two experts compete to influence that decision: an interior designer determined to renovate the property and a real estate agent searching for the perfect alternative. The Polish adaptation will be hosted by interior designer Marika Jóźwiak and real estate agent Jacek Mędrala.
Commenting on the commission, Małgorzata Perkowska-Czaja, Managing Director of Endemol Shine Poland, said: “Love It or List It is one of those rare formats that combines genuine emotion with practical inspiration. At its heart are real people facing a decision many of us can relate to, making every episode authentic, uplifting and highly engaging. Every family has a unique story, and we're confident those stories will resonate strongly with Polish audiences.”
Lucas Green, Chief Content Officer, Operations at Banijay Entertainment, added: “Love It or List It continues to prove its enduring international appeal as it’s built around a simple but compelling premise. Blending heart, humour and high-stakes decision-making, audiences are hooked until the final decision. We look forward to seeing Endemol Shine Poland bring its own local perspective to the format.”
The format continues to expand internationally following the success of Screentime New Zealand’s adaptation for TVNZ, which is set to return later this year. Long-running local versions are also on air in North America, Quebec, the UK, Australia, and Finland.
