Lux Vide, a Fremantle company, has announced the start of production on a new international television series inspired by the life and extraordinary career of Giorgio Armani, the Italian fashion icon whose vision transformed the global industry and helped redefine the concept of modern “Made in Italy” elegance. The series will be directed by acclaimed filmmaker Ferzan Ozpetek, known for works including Diamonds, Hamam and The Ignorant Fairies.
Conceived as a major television event, the project will chronicle the ambitions, creativity and determination of the legendary designer, offering an intimate portrait of the entrepreneur and visionary behind one of the world’s most influential luxury brands.
Giorgio Armani has agreed to support the production by providing access to the House’s archives, creations and iconic locations, allowing the series to offer an unprecedented glimpse into the world and legacy of one of fashion’s most celebrated figures. Produced by Lux Vide, in association with Faros Film, the series is based on a subject and screenplay by Ferzan Ozpetek and Francesco Arlanch.
