The agreement includes R.I.S. – Imperfect Crimes Season 1, comprising 12 episodes of 50 minutes, and Season 2, comprising 16 episodes of 50 minutes. The series will be broadcast in Japan on Action Channel, where it will be available both through the linear pay-TV service and on SVOD platforms.
Created in 2004 by Pietro Valsecchi and originally launched on Canale 5 in January 2005, R.I.S. – Imperfect Crimes became one of Italy’s most recognisable crime drama franchises. The title refers to the Reparto Investigazioni Scientifiche, the real-life scientific investigation unit of the Carabinieri. The procedural follows a specialist forensic team as its members solve complex crimes by examining evidence, reconstructing events and applying advanced scientific investigation techniques.
Set in Parma during its first five seasons and later in Rome, the series combines self-contained investigations with continuing storylines involving the team’s professional and personal lives.

The sale to Action Channel highlights the continuing demand for established European scripted content and the ability of premium library titles to attract new audiences through both traditional linear television and on-demand platforms.
