Endemol Shine Australia, part of Banijay Entertainment, will produce a new season of Australian Ninja Warrior for Network 10, bringing the popular competition format back to Australian screens in 2027. Based on the format SASUKE produced by Tokyo Broadcasting System Television Inc. and distributed by Banijay Rights, the series will return with a redesigned course, a new generation of competitors and the high-intensity challenges that have made the franchise a global entertainment phenomenon.
Hosted by Robert Irwin, Georgie Tunny and Beau Ryan, the new season will feature a spectacular course designed to test contestants’ strength, agility and determination. The competition will bring together everyday Australians with extraordinary stories alongside elite athletes aiming to achieve Ninja glory.
Robert Irwin said: “Stepping into a role like Australian Ninja Warrior is such an incredible adventure. I have been a fan of this show for a long time. Not only are we watching the pinnacle of athleticism, but we also get to see how dedication, courage and hard work can create heroes on the course.”
Georgie Tunny added that the appeal of the format lies in the personal journeys of its competitors: “What I love most about Australian Ninja Warrior is that every competitor arrives with a story. It's not just about conquering the course; it's about determination, resilience, and the people who inspire us to keep showing up, no matter what the challenge.”
Former contestant and co-host Beau Ryan said: “I've always loved a bit of healthy competition, and having competed on Australian Ninja Warrior before, I know just how tough that course really is.”
Casting for the new season is now open, with the series set to premiere on Network 10 and 10 Streaming in 2027.
WPP’s Motion Entertainment is collaborating with Network 10 and Endemol Shine Australia to support the commercial development of Australian Ninja Warrior, including partnership and brand opportunities.
