TeamTO and The Tetris Company have announced Tetris™: World Builders, a new CG-animated adventure series for children aged 6+, inspired by one of the most iconic gaming brands in the world. The 52 x 11’ series blends imaginative storytelling with STEAM-inspired problem-solving, introducing a new animated universe built around creativity, engineering, teamwork and discovery. The project was officially unveiled during TeamTO’s Studio Focus presentation, Come Fly with TeamTO, at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival.

Currently in early development, Tetris: World Builders was created by TeamTO producers Marco Balsamo and Tara Sibel Demren, together with veteran executive producer Chuck Williams, known for his work on major video game adaptations including Sonic the Hedgehog.

The story begins when massive and mysterious Tetrimino blocks start falling from the sky. A fearless team of young “World Builders” must help their world adapt, evolve and thrive. Using ingenuity, collaboration and STEAM-based thinking, the Scouts turn unexpected challenges into new opportunities, reshaping landscapes, solving community problems and building a brighter future together.

Reimagining the geometric language of Tetris as a dynamic world of transformation, construction and discovery, the series introduces foundational STEAM concepts through cinematic adventure, imaginative worldbuilding and character-driven storytelling. Inspired by the falling blocks and puzzle-solving mechanics that have captivated generations of players, Tetris: World Builders transforms the game’s instantly recognisable visual identity into a living landscape shaped by creativity and construction.
