Iberseries & Platino Industria has opened submissions for its new Literary Works Pitch for Audiovisual Adaptation, a key addition to the sixth edition of the industry event, which will take place from September 29 to October 2, 2026, at Matadero Madrid. Developed in partnership with the Federation of Spanish Publishers' Associations (FGEE), the initiative aims to connect publishers and literary agencies from Spain and Latin America with producers, platforms, studios and broadcasters seeking new intellectual property for film and television projects.
The new pitching forum responds to the growing demand for adaptable IP across the audiovisual sector and will provide a dedicated space for rights holders to present literary works with potential to become films, series, superseries, miniseries and television dramas to leading players from the Ibero-American entertainment industry.
The call is open to commercially published works in Spanish, or titles translated into Spanish, whose audiovisual adaptation rights are available and can be certified by participating publishers or agencies.
Both fiction and documentary projects are eligible, with particular interest in stories capable of generating long-running series, expandable narrative universes, and projects from authors with active digital communities and international appeal. Eligible genres include drama, comedy, thriller, suspense, adventure, crime, true-story adaptations, biographies, youth-focused content and sports stories, as well as award-winning and bestselling titles.
Selected projects will be presented during a public pitching session attended by producers, distributors, platforms, studios and other industry executives. Projects that attract interest will also gain access to tailored one-to-one meeting schedules, creating opportunities for negotiations and further development.
Each accredited publisher or literary agency may submit up to three titles, with a maximum of two projects eligible for final selection. Applications must be completed through the official submission platform after obtaining professional accreditation and must include editorial, creative and commercial information for each work. The submission window will remain open until July 9, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. (GMT+2).
