Xilam Heads to Annecy With Landmark Slate Spanning Film and Television Projects
Xilam will arrive at the Annecy International Animation Festival with one of its most extensive line-ups to date, spanning feature films, series, official selections and industry showcase sessions across multiple formats. Key highlights include a Work-in-Progress presentation for upcoming psychological thriller The Wolf, a selection in Annecy’s Official Competition for Lucy Lost, the TV Films category screening of Disney+ series The Doomies, and the French premiere of 2D animated series Submarine Jim.
Marc du Pontavice, Founder and CEO of Xilam, said: “This year, Annecy will mark a historic milestone for Xilam as we introduce an unprecedented slate of varied and ambitious mix of projects at Annecy. We’re thrilled to be showcasing our work across all areas of the festival’s programme and highlighting our creative strength and resilience during a time of continued industry-wide challenges – and this breakthrough across both our film and TV pipelines is testament to our commitment to creating and supporting striking and original content.”

The Work-in-Progress session for The Wolf will spotlight the upcoming feature co-written and directed by Benjamin Massoubre and Fursy Tessier, who previously collaborated on Xilam’s Academy Award-nominated I Lost My Body. The film, co-produced by Xilam’s Marc du Pontavice with Sabine Dabadie as co-writer, follows Gaspard, a grief-stricken shepherd whose isolated life is disrupted by the arrival of a mysterious stray wolf.
Lucy Lost, adapted from Michael Morpurgo’s novel Listen to the Moon, returns to Annecy after its 2025 Work-in-Progress showcase and is now part of the Official Competition. The feature is co-written and directed by Olivier Clert, with co-writer Helen Blakeman, and produced by Xilam. International sales are handled by Goodfellas, with French pay-TV rights previously acquired by Canal+ and Ciné+ OCS. The theatrical release in France is scheduled for 28 October via Le Pacte.

In television, supernatural horror-comedy The Doomies, produced by Xilam in association with Disney Television Animation, will screen in the TV Films category. Created by Rémi Zaarour, Andrès Fernandez and Henry Gifford, and directed by Andrès Fernandez, the series will debut on Disney+ during the festival on 26 June with 22 half-hour episodes, alongside a four-episode short-form spin-off.
Rounding out Xilam’s Annecy presence, Submarine Jim will premiere in France on 24 June on Okoo, France Télévisions’ FVOD platform for children. The 2D animated series has already launched in the UK and Ireland on CBBC and iPlayer, as well as in French-speaking Switzerland on RTS, and on Cartoon Network in Latin America and Southeast Asia. Upcoming rollouts include Super RTL in Germany, RTBF and VRT in Belgium, NPO in the Netherlands, YLE in Finland, NRK in Norway and Noga in Israel.
