Blue Ant Media has greenlit a new lineup of original factual programming for its global channels and streaming brands, reinforcing its investment in science, history, wildlife and adventure content across more than 100 territories. The slate combines new commissions and returning series produced by Blue Ant Studios and independent producers, with all titles also available for international licensing through Blue Ant Rights.
Among the highlights are Space: The Ultimate Countdown, an eight-part series exploring the biggest milestones in space exploration; Super Humans, which examines some of history’s most extraordinary physical and mental achievements; and a second season of World’s Most Secret Places, uncovering some of the world’s most protected and mysterious locations.
Returning franchise Aussie Snake Wranglers: Deadly Pursuit has been renewed for a third season, while Scaling Oz explores the surprising behaviors and survival strategies of Australia’s reptiles.
The lineup also includes Ireland’s Wild Mountains, a follow-up to the award-winning Ireland’s Wild Islands, and Rise of the Swamp Cats, documenting the lives of a unique lion pride living in Botswana’s wetlands.
"Our latest greenlights of new and returning series offer a variety of content genres across science, history, and wildlife, bolstering our investment in original productions for our portfolio of brands,” said Alison Barrat, SVP, Head of Content, Global Channels & Streaming at Blue Ant Media. “The lineup illustrates how we leverage Blue Ant’s integrated approach between our channels and rights businesses, allowing us to maximize the reach of our original commissions."
The new commissions will premiere across Blue Ant Media’s portfolio of channel and streaming brands, including Love Nature, HauntTV, True Crime Now, Shockwave and MagellanTV.
