One Life Studios (OLS) has announced a series of major milestones as it celebrates its 10th anniversary, significantly expanding its global content footprint through new international distribution agreements and a massive entry into the vertical video marketplace. Over the past decade, the independent Indian media company has grown its portfolio to more than 750 premium titles. In a strategic move to target mobile-first audiences, OLS has acquired over 500 Indian microdramas for worldwide distribution, establishing one of the region’s largest catalogs in this fast-growing format. Concurrently, the studio is preparing to unveil a new original animation IP at MIPJunior to further diversify its international slate.
Founder & Chief Storyteller Siddharth Kumar Tewary has developed One Life Studios into one of India’s most successful independent producers and distributors, securing over 65 domestic and international awards for its scripted programming. Celebrating this milestone, Tewary stated: “We are thrilled to celebrate ten years of storytelling and creative innovation. From our studios in Mumbai, we have built a company dedicated to creating premium content that connects audiences with compelling stories rooted in culture, history, and imagination. We are also proud to help bring India into the global vertical space with our microdrama catalogue of over 500 Indian titles, while continuing to increase our overall distribution business around the world. As we enter our next phase of growth, we are delighted to partner with MJ Global Communications to help amplify our story and support our international ambitions. Under the leadership of our syndication team, headed by Shashank Singh, we remain committed to bringing the best of Indian storytelling to both the global Indian diaspora and new audiences discovering Indian content for the first time.”
The company’s global syndication division has recently closed several key terrestrial and digital deals. These include licensing the drama series Dhruv Tara in Vietnam to IMC-TV Today, as well as selling the epic historical dramas Porus and Chandragupta Maurya to Atinka TV in Ghana. Commenting on the partnership, Dang Thi Hong, Program Acquisition Manager of Vietnam's International Media Joint Stock Company (IMC-TV Today), noted: “One Life Studios consistently delivers world-class premium storytelling that resonates with audiences across cultures. We are delighted to bring their content to our viewers and look forward to expanding our partnership in the future.”
This international appeal was recently highlighted at the Vietnam Ngôi Sao Xanh (Face of the Year) Awards, where Dhruv Tara won “Most Favorite Foreign Film,” with leads Ishaan Dhawan and Riya Sharma taking home the top acting honors. The series joins a decorated portfolio that includes the digital thriller Escaype Live and the acclaimed mythological series RadhaKrishn. To support this ongoing commercial momentum and manage its expanding public relations and marketing initiatives across international markets, One Life Studios has appointed New York-based firm MJ Global Communications LLC (MGC), led by CEO and Founder MJ Sorenson, to spearhead its global corporate communications strategy.
