BYD and Mediawan have unveiled the first project stemming from their strategic partnership: a special episode of Miraculous Chibi, the short-form animated comedy series based on the globally successful Miraculous franchise. Produced by Miraculous Corp, the episode is now available worldwide on YouTube.

Designed for digital audiences, Miraculous Chibi features non-verbal, slapstick stories starring Ladybug, Cat Noir and other characters from the franchise. The latest season, consisting of 52 three-minute episodes, launched in December 2025 and has helped the series surpass 1.1 million YouTube subscribers and 350 million views globally.

Created by Thomas Astruc, Amy Zag and Nathanaël Bronn, Miraculous is produced by Miraculous Corp, the joint venture between Mediawan and ZAG. The franchise spans six seasons, with a seventh currently in production, alongside multiple spin-offs and a feature film. It is broadcast in more than 150 territories and has built a significant digital footprint, reaching more than 60 million followers across social media platforms.

The Chibi episode marks the first visible result of the partnership announced earlier this year between Mediawan and BYD. Since January, the companies have been developing collaborations that integrate the automotive brand across Mediawan productions, including vehicle placements in upcoming projects such as the next Miraculous theatrical feature film and the development of original formats inspired by the BYD brand.

According to the companies, the partnership aims to expand the Miraculous kids and family ecosystem, strengthen fan engagement across platforms and create new opportunities for audiences to interact with the franchise through content, games and digital experiences.
