Sweet indulgence meets heartfelt storytelling in Pazzi di Dolci, the new Food Network series that takes viewers on a journey through Italy’s most beloved pastry shops, guided by two charismatic hosts: Ida Di Filippo and Tommaso Foglia. Premiering on April 30 at 10:00 PM on Food Network and streaming on Discovery+, the series celebrates the country’s sweetest traditions through the places and people who keep them alive.
Known to audiences from Casa a Prima Vista, Ida Di Filippo joins forces with award-winning pastry chef Tommaso Foglia for a format that blends travel, food culture, and family warmth. Together, they set off across Italy to discover the pastry shops most cherished by local communities—those hidden gems where generations have gathered to celebrate birthdays, Sundays, and life’s special moments.
What makes Pazzi di Dolci unique is its emotional core. In every episode, groups of relatives and friends—the self-proclaimed “dessert lovers”—invite Ida and Tommaso to their hometowns, where they share the pastry shops closest to their hearts. From the first tasting counters to the kitchens of family homes, viewers are immersed in a world of flavors, memories, and hospitality.
The itinerary spans some of Italy’s most charming locations, from Isernia to Vasto, passing through Francavilla al Mare and Massa Lubrense. Along the way, the hosts sample regional specialties, hear local anecdotes, and enjoy plenty of laughter with the families who guide them. Each journey culminates in a spectacular homemade afternoon feast, where traditional recipes and beautifully laid tables showcase the enduring role of dessert in Italian family life.
Two special episodes add an even more personal touch, taking the hosts back to their own roots. Audiences will step inside the homes of Ida and Tommaso’s parents, where family memories, affection, and treasured sweet recipes reveal the stories behind the presenters themselves.
