All3Media International has revealed its line-up for the upcoming Miami Upfronts, set to take place on 23 April, with a showcase presented by Yari Torres, VP Latin America & US Hispanic. The distributor will spotlight a broad slate spanning premium scripted, high-profile documentaries and globally successful formats, featuring A-list talent and award-winning producers. Among the key scripted titles is Maya, a six-part psychological thriller from Two Brothers Pictures (The Tourist), created and co-directed by Daisy Haggard, who also stars alongside Bella Ramsey (The Last of Us). Commissioned by Channel 4, the drama follows a mother and daughter placed in witness protection in rural Scotland, as the threat they are fleeing begins to resurface.
Also featured is Counsels (8 x 60’), a contemporary legal drama co-created by Bryan Elsley and Gillian McCormack. Produced by Balloon Entertainment for BBC iPlayer, BBC One and BBC Scotland in co-production with ZDFneo, the series explores the personal and professional lives of a group of young lawyers in Glasgow.
From New Pictures and Observatory Pictures comes Gone, a six-part psychological mystery written by George Kay (Hijack). Starring David Morrissey and Eve Myles, the series centres on a respected headmaster whose life unravels following his wife’s disappearance, evolving into a tense psychological duel.
Thriller Careless (4 x 60’) is produced by Synchronicity Films and Easy Tiger Productions for Stan and Channel 4. Starring Solly McLeod, Robyn Malcolm, Katie Leung and Richard Roxburgh, the series follows a young backpacker who becomes entangled in a complex and dangerous relationship while working as a live-in carer.
Espionage thriller Secret Service (5 x 60’) is produced by Potboiler Productions for ITV and directed by James Marsh. Starring Gemma Arterton, the series follows an MI6 officer investigating a high-ranking politician suspected of being a Russian asset.
In documentaries, the slate is led by Michael Jackson: The Trial (4 x 60’) from Wonderhood Studios, offering an in-depth look at the 2005 trial of Michael Jackson through unseen footage, audio recordings and exclusive interviews.
Also featured is Taylor: A Love Story (1 x 60’) from Lion TV, charting the rise of Taylor Swift and exploring how her personal relationships have shaped her music and global career.
On the formats side, adaptation rights are available for Rise and Fall, a social experiment format from Studio Lambert that explores power, wealth and social hierarchy. The show has already been adapted into a successful celebrity version in India for Amazon MX Player, with a second season commissioned. The showcase will also highlight global hit The Traitors, produced by IDTV, which continues its international expansion with local versions in more than 40 territories, alongside returning seasons in key markets including the US and UK.
