ZDF Joins Swedish Drama-Thriller Till Death Do Us Part with TV4 and Dynamic Television
German broadcaster ZDF has joined the upcoming Swedish drama-thriller Till Death Do Us Part (6 x 45’) as co-producer, further strengthening the international profile of the project. The series is produced by Harmonica Films in collaboration with TV4, SF Studios, and Film Stockholm, while Dynamic Television handles worldwide distribution. The drama is set to launch in July 2026 on TV4 Play Plus, followed by a linear rollout on TV4.

Positioned within the enduring appeal of high-end Scandi noir, Till Death Do Us Part brings together a strong Nordic cast led by Aliette Opheim and Filip Berg, alongside Adam Lundgren, Joel Spira, Madeleine Martin, Nanna Blondell and Christopher Wagelin.
The series is written by Veronica Zacco, directed by Julia Lindström and produced by Per Janérus. The original concept is created by Björn Carlström, Stefan Thunberg and Zacco.

Narratively, the series follows Malin, a woman whose life collapses when her husband Tobias is accused of murder. Determined to prove his innocence, she becomes his defense lawyer—only to uncover a web of secrets that challenges her beliefs and raises a central question: what if he is guilty?
ZDF’s involvement signals continued international appetite for premium European crime drama, particularly within the Scandinavian noir tradition, which remains a strong export driver across global markets.

As Annika Schmidt, Head of German Originals & European Co-Productions at Dynamic Television, highlighted, the addition of ZDF reinforces the project’s international positioning and aligns with the broadcaster’s long-standing commitment to high-quality crime storytelling.

Similarly, TV4’s Head of Drama Johanna Lind emphasized the series’ strong emotional core and high suspense, pointing to its potential to engage audiences through layered storytelling and unexpected narrative turns.
For ZDF, the project continues a well-established strategy of partnering on Nordic crime series with international reach, as underlined by Executive Producer Maik Platzen. From the production side, Harmonica Films’ CEO and producer Per Janérus framed the partnership as a validation of the project’s ambition, highlighting the combination of sharp writing and bold direction as key elements underpinning its global appeal.
