Following the recent announcement that UKTV has commissioned the first UK adaptation of the lighthearted and highly entertaining comedy format, The Way Out continues its international momentum with further positive developments.

Prime Video Germany has confirmed a second season of the show, building on the strong performance of its debut last year. The news comes shortly after the successful conclusion of a sixth season on VTM in Belgium, while SBS (Talpa Network) in the Netherlands has also ordered a sixth season following a solid fifth run.

All international versions are produced from the Belgian production hub in collaboration with the format’s original creator and producer, Roses Are Blue.

The Way Out is a fast-paced entertainment format that combines humor, tension and problem-solving. In each episode, two celebrity duos enter identical escape rooms filled with puzzles, scientific challenges and mysteries to solve. Working against the clock, the teams must complete tasks and uncover key clues, with the fastest pair winning the episode and the satisfaction of victory—delivering engaging and high-energy viewing for audiences.
