Mexican superstar Eugenio Derbez—actor, director, producer, and co-founder of 3Pas Studios—will take center stage at Iberseries & Platino Industria 2025, joined by his family and Spanish actor Pedro Alonso. The event, taking place in Madrid from September 30 to October 3, is the premier industry gathering for Spanish- and Portuguese-language audiovisual professionals.

Derbez, known for CODA, Radical, and Instructions Not Included, will participate in three major sessions:

Keynote – “Eugenio Derbez: The Creative Vision” (Oct. 2, 10:00 a.m., Casa del Lector Auditorium)

Panel – “The Power of Family: The Derbez” (Oct. 2, 12:00 p.m., Sala Azcona, Cineteca), with Alessandra Rosaldo, Aislinn, José Eduardo, and Vadhir Derbez

Panel – “Stories that Transcend Borders: El Juicio” (Oct. 2, 6:00 p.m.), alongside Pedro Alonso and Alonso Aguilar of Amazon MGM Studios

The new Amazon Prime Video Original series El Juicio, produced by 3Pas Studios, is an intense drama inspired by real cases of injustice in Mexico. It stars Derbez and Alonso as two fathers confronting a legal system that fails to protect their children. Directed by Roberto Sneider, Belén Macías, and Jorge Michel Grau, the series is written by Daniel Krauze and was shot in Puebla and Mexico City.

Pedro Alonso, best known for his iconic role as Berlin in Money Heist, brings his artistic depth and international acclaim to the project. Alonso Aguilar, Amazon MGM’s Head of International Originals for Mexico, will join the discussion to shed light on the platform’s strategic content expansion in Latin America.

Also attending is Javier Williams, President of Spanish-Language Series at 3Pas Studios, who will present the company’s current slate and future ambitions to a global audience.
