TVF International Secures Broadcaster Deals for Docs and Factual Series in Scandinavia
TVF International has sent a raft of premium documentaries and factual series to broadcaster partners in Scandinavia, including new Channel 4 documentary "Nazi Space Race" (1x50) to multiple broadcasters in the region, like SVT, YLE, and Viasat World. The premium history documentary reveals that almost 2,000 former Nazi scientists were pardoned and brought to the US, to help them win the Space Race.

Viasat World, licensed a number of programmes from the distributor, including Channel 4 documentary "24 Hours That Changed the World" (2x47) and the latest series of ITV’s fishing programme "Monster Carp" (Series 8, 4x60) and three seasons of "The Grand Fishing Adventure" (12x60), hosted by angling expert Ali Hamidi and ex-footballer Bobby Zamora.

Sweden’s public broadcast, SVT, acquired premium history from the distributor, licensing France TV’s "Ulysses: From Myth to Science" (1x60), and "Great British Train Journeys from Above" (4x47) from TVF Productions. SVT also selected premium science title, "The Resurrection Quest" (4x47) from Singaporean public broadcaster, CNA.

Elsewhere in Sweden, Axess TV licensed a package of titles from the distributor across arts, science, and world affairs. In arts, the channel licensed Sky Arts titles "Will's Book: Shakespeare's First Folio" (1x60) and "Van Gogh by Vincent" (1x60), from Unity House Productions, as well as France TV’s "Maria Callas: The Unsung Greek Years" (2x60). For their science fans, Axess selected Jim Al-Khalili's "Guide to Life", "The Universe and Everything" (2x50) and "The Psychedelic Frontier" (1x44). Finally, in history, the channel selected "Bay of Blood: The Bangladesh Genocide" (2x50) and "Theodor Herzl: The Man Who Made Israel" (1x60).

UR licensed "Secrets of the Brain with Jim Al-Khalili" (2x60, BBC), a premium science series unravelling the mysteries of the most complex object in the cosmos: the human brain. 

In Norway, public broadcaster NRK licensing behind the headlines specials "Arming the Arctic" (1x51) from Wildcat Films and TVF International, which the distributor also sent to Finnish pubcaster, YLE, and "Supernova: The Music Festival Massacre" (1x52) from Gebrueder Beetz for the BBC.  

The distributor placed archaeology series with Denmark’s public broadcaster, DR, including "The Lost World of Angkor Wat" (2x60) and "Lost Treasure Tombs of the Ancient Maya" (2x47), both from Windfall Films for Discovery Science.  

Elsewhere in Denmark, the distributor sent two seasons of "Down for Love" (10x46), the heart-warming disability dating series from Attitude Pictures for TVNZ and Netflix, to TV2. 

Finnish public broadcaster YLE licensed the BBC’s investigative special "Stacey Dooley: Growing up Gypsy" (1x60), seeing presenter Stacey Dooley embed with the traditionally private Traveller community, to explore the challenges facing young women growing up in one of the UK’s most maligned ethnic minorities.
