Secuoya Studios announces its first production development agreement in France with producer Sydney Gallonde
Producer and creative Sydney Gallonde and Secuoya Studios announced a multi-year First Look Deal agreement, which aims to generate French stories and narratives for the global market. This marks Secuoya Studios’ first development initiative in France, reinforcing its commitment to expanding into key European territories. With this agreement, the Madrid-based studio reinforces its previously announced global expansion strategy through strategic alliances with key European producers and industry players. The agreement also underscores Gallonde's dedication to the dissemination of French storytelling globally, driven by its conviction that “local is global”.

“The French market, with its strong creative identity and international influence, is a strategic priority for us as we expand across Europe. It is a pleasure to join forces with Sydney Gallonde to bring to life original and exciting stories in French, with the potential to connect with global audiences. His deep French and international experience give us an essential global perspective to enrich our projects.”, said Brendan Fitzgerald, CEO of Secuoya Studios.

Under this new deal, Sydney will grant Secuoya Studios first-look rights to his upcoming projects, ensuring that his innovative concepts ranging from premium drama series and character-driven thrillers to socially conscious true stories reach both domestic and global audiences. “I’m convinced that French narratives now have a truly universal reach. This partnership with Secuoya Studios allows me to open wider doors to the international market, without ever compromising the emotional and cultural depth of our stories,” said Sydney Gallonde. “We want to create content that resonates across cultures, highlights underrepresented voices, and sparks meaningful conversations.”

Recognized for his adaptations of Harlan Coben’s No Second Chance and Just One Look, as well as Guillaume Musso’s works, Sydney has consistently pushed the boundaries of French audiovisual storytelling. His collaborations with major industry players—such as MGM, Amazon, and NBCUniversal—demonstrate his ability to combine creative vision with strategic execution.

Beyond literary adaptations, Sydney also focuses on socially driven projects, as exemplified by Le Colosse aux pieds d’argile (starring Éric Cantona), which earned multiple awards in France and internationally (including the Golden Nymph for Best Film at the Monte Carlo TV Festival and recognition at the Luchon Festival and C21 Awards). This success reflects his commitment to shedding light on important social issues and giving a voice to those who are often unheard.

This new production agreement, in addition to those announced last fall with Juan Carballo, Mónica Aguirre and Sergio Cánovas, and most recently with the British production company BlackBox Multimedia, consolidates the plan to produce 30% of the studio's content in languages other than Spanish, a proposal that not only expands the possibilities of reaching international audiences, but also reinforces Secuoya’s expansion and content diversity commitment.
